DJ VEEJEE
As a true "Essen City" child, DJ VEEJEE was born in 1979 in Essen, Germany. His musical roots was influenced early on by his parents who constantly played classical music. This gained his interest and as a young child he learned to play the piano. Trained with a sense of rhythm and sense of harmony VEEJEE's musical knowledge grew wider. VEEJEE was first introduced to electronic dance music in 1998 when he attended a performance led by DEN ISHU, a fellow DJ. The performance impressed VEEJEE so much that instead of watching these events as a guest, he wanted to be behind the turntables himself. Once at home, he attended local youth communities to begin his practice as a DJ since he couldn't afford the gear at the time. A few years later VEEJEE was picked up and ended up booking numerous events around his region. In 2007 he released his first track, "Manila Express", on Oliver Klein‘s Label, ELECTRIBE. Then in 2008 he released his first EP, "Baraco", through Criss Source & Marc O'Tool Label, MAURITIUS Music. Since then his style has matured, his sets are impulsive and constant, and his future in the life of the electronic music scene is constantly rising. At the moment he is beginning an internship for producing electronic music through DEN ISHU his original inspiration and couldn‘t be more excited to start this new journey in his life.
